Reviews

The NSCP carries out rapid reviews when there is concern that a Serious Child Safeguarding Incident has occurred. The purpose of the Rapid Review is to identify and act upon immediate learning, and consider if there is additional learning which could be identified through a wider Child Safeguarding Practice Review (CSPR).

Development Days

Education

On Tuesday the 21st of November 2023 the Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership held a development session at the Civic Centre, and over 90 delegates attended to explore how schools can be effective strategic partners in the response and development of safeguarding in Newcastle. At the development sessions we heard from a range of partners regarding the important role that education plays in the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people in Newcastle.

At the development session partners from several organisations shared valuable and engaging information regarding service initiatives aimed at addressing criminal exploitation of young people and the risks they may be exposed to outside the home. Whether you missed the session or simply want to revisit the content then we hope you will find this information, including presentation slides, and additional materials useful in the development of your partnership working.
