Save the Date: NSCP Development Day 2026
The Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership (NSCP) is delighted to announce that its next Development Day will take place on Friday 27 November 2026.
Bringing together partners from across Newcastle’s safeguarding system, this full-day event will provide an opportunity for professionals to connect, learn and reflect on how we can continue to strengthen our collective approach to keeping children and young people safe.
Effective safeguarding depends on strong relationships, shared responsibility and a commitment to working together. The Development Day will create space for colleagues from across the partnership to come together, share perspectives, explore emerging challenges and celebrate the positive impact of multi-agency working across the city.
The event is open to professionals from all sectors involved in safeguarding children and young people, including children’s social care, education, health, police, voluntary and community organisations, and wider partner agencies. Attendees can expect a varied programme focused on collaboration, learning and strengthening the partnerships that help improve outcomes for children and families.
As well as providing valuable learning opportunities, the day will be an opportunity to build new connections, strengthen existing relationships and consider how, as a partnership, we continue to respond to the changing needs of children, young people and their families.
At this stage, we are asking colleagues to save the date and complete the Expression of Interest Form. This will help us understand likely attendance and ensure the event meets the needs of our diverse partnership.
Further information, including the agenda, speakers and venue details, will be shared in due course. We look forward to welcoming colleagues from across Newcastle’s safeguarding partnership for what promises to be an engaging and inspiring day of shared learning and collaboration.
