NIDAS (Newcastle Integrated Domestic Abuse Service)

The Newcastle Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (NIDAS), operated by Changing Lives in partnership with Action for Children and Rape Crisis, offers comprehensive support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse.

Services include a purpose-built refuge with 14 private flats for women and their children, outreach programs with personalised support plans, and assistance from Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) for high-risk victims aged 16 and over. NIDAS also provides dispersed accommodation through Newcastle Sanctum for those with additional needs. Support is available regardless of police involvement, with referrals accepted from various agencies and self-referrals.
