Home Takeover and Exploitation

Home takeover, sometimes referred to as cuckooing is a type of exploitation in which an individual is exploited and their home is taken over. Whilst this is a type of abuse which can affect adults, young people are also possible victims. Whilst these resources are largely written with an adult focus they do have relevance for those working with children and young people.
