Goodbye ‘Thresholds’, Hello ‘Continuum of Need’
The NSCP Executive have endorsed the new Level of Need Criteria guidance. This is for all practitioners, agencies and services that work with or are involved with children, young people and their families.
Children and Families Newcastle aim is for all families to receive the right level of support at the right time. The aim of the criteria is to deliver a model for joined up working, setting out levels of need across a ‘continuum’ of risk factors.
The introduction of the new Continuum of Need model is part of the ongoing project to introduce the new Families First system for safeguarding children and supporting families in Newcastle.
