Private Fostering
Private fostering is when a child is living with someone who is not their parent or a ‘close relative’ (e.g. great aunt, cousin, mum’s friend or a neighbour) for 28 days or more.
These resources are for adults and children and include a video presentation which focusses on raising and increasing awareness of Private Fostering, what it is and why it matters. It also lays out the duties for individuals and agencies under the relevant legislation and regulations.
