Project outline
Eating Distress North East (EDNE) want to partner with charities who are working with young men and boys to develop a targeted educational project. EDNE will provide free training for professionals on identifying eating distress in YM&B. Including early intervention approaches, how to offer support, and when it’s appropriate to signpost to a service like EDNE.
EDNE will deliver workshops for YM&B, accompanying the training to ensure an holistic approach. Workshops will help the groups learn what eating distress is, alternative coping strategies, and how they can access support. The workshops will engage groups in conversations around body image, social media, and societal expectations.
