Join us for the next Relevant Agencies Group meeting and be part of an important conversation about the future of services and support for children, young people and families across Newcastle.
What are Relevant Agencies?
Under Working Together to Safeguard Children, relevant agencies are organisations and services that work with children, young people and families and have an important role to play in promoting their welfare and safeguarding them from harm.
By working together, sharing information, contributing expertise and helping to identify emerging issues, relevant agencies support the safeguarding partnership in understanding local needs, improving services and achieving better outcomes for children and young people.
The Relevant Agencies Group provides an opportunity for partner organisations to come together, share their perspectives and help shape the priorities and work of the Newcastle Safeguarding Children Partnership.
Together, relevant agencies are a vital part of Newcastle’s safeguarding system, helping to ensure that children and young people receive the right support at the right time.
This session will provide a valuable opportunity to hear about the development of Newcastle’s next Children and Young People’s Plan and contribute your views to help shape its priorities. As key safeguarding partners and stakeholders, your insight and experience are essential in ensuring the plan reflects the needs of children, young people and families across the city.
The meeting will also include an update on the Families First reforms and what these changes mean for practice in Newcastle. Colleagues will hear about local developments, emerging opportunities and how services are working together to implement the new approach to supporting children and families.
