As part of the Year of the Adolescent, this training series shines a spotlight on the growing issue of youth gambling and its impact on wellbeing, decision‑making, and future life chances. These sessions will explore how gambling behaviours develop, why young people are particularly vulnerable, and the subtle ways gambling-like mechanics appear in everyday environments—from online games to social media.
This series will equip practitioners with the knowledge and confidence to recognise early indicators, understand associated risks, and provide effective support and guidance. Whether you work directly with young people or support families and communities, these sessions offer vital insight into a rapidly evolving safeguarding concern.
This 2.5 hour training is aimed at GPs, nurses, psychologists, counsellors, mental health practitioners, social prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
