Free Webinars for Parents and Carers: Child Exploitation and Missing From Home
Ivison Trust (formerly Pace) is a national charity working to keep children safe from exploitation by supporting their parents, disrupting the exploiters and working in partnership with police and family services. We also train professionals to support affected children and their parents using a trauma-informed, family-centric approach.
When a child goes missing, parents can be left traumatised and scared. Knowing what to do in these stressful circumstances, and where to go for support is vital. This session will raise awareness about grooming and child exploitation. We also consider what ‘going missing’ looks like. It is not always for days or even hours; sometimes a parent/carer may not even realise their child is going missing-all as a result of the exploiters tactics to keep their activities under the radar.
Learn about the Relational Safeguarding Model (RSM) and how this aims to support families and work in partnership.
These sessions are free and designed specifically for parents/carers.
They aim to help parents understand the links between children going missing and different forms of exploitation, including CCE and County Lines.
Best practice approaches will be explored and information will be provided about where to go for support. There will be opportunities for questions and discussion.
