Free NYA Training – Risk Assessments for youth programmes

The National Youth Agency is delivering two online training sessions regarding risk assessments for youth programmes:

Tue, 11 Feb 2025 09:30 – 15:00 (Now Full)

Thu, 13 Feb 2025 09:30 – 15:00

Designed for practitioners working with young people and/or managers who are responsible for either writing risk assessments or approving those written by colleagues or perhaps external providers you work with. This course would be useful for anyone thinking of submitting a funding application for, or participating in, summer youth activity programmes as it aims to bring risk assessments to life, highlighting why they are so much more important than the ‘tick-box exercise’ they sometimes have a reputation for being. The session includes sector-specific examples of good practice you can implement straight into your setting, as this course has been written especially for the youth sector. Attendees will gain confidence in writing risk assessments, learn how to avoid common mistakes and know what to look for in the risk assessments of other organisations.

This training is offered at no cost, with funding provided by the DCMS.

Please note that a maximum of two applicants per organisation will be considered.
